L'Oréal Melasyl Serum - 3D Anamorphic Billboard

A 3D anamorphic billboard built for the launch of L'Oréal Paris's Melasyl Serum in Malaysia. The formula is backed by 18 years of research. The visual was built to carry that weight — blending dermatological precision with L'Oréal's legacy of prestige into a single head-turning outdoor moment. Science in motion. Dark spots in retreat.

About the project

We built a 3D anamorphic billboard for L'Oréal Paris's Melasyl Serum — a product 18 years in the making. The brief demanded both credibility and elegance. These do not always sit comfortably together. The solution was a visual language that reads as lab and luxury at the same time: a Parisian-inspired frame, a radiant glow built from light rather than decoration, and a product narrative that communicates the Melasyl molecule's breakthrough without requiring a single line of copy to explain it. The tagline does the rest. Dark spots? Finally, game over.

Key Visual

High-Detail Texture and Product Breakdown

Set within a Parisian-inspired architectural frame, the animation moves from molecule to product to result — each stage building on the last. The radiant glow behind the serum is not a beauty effect. It is the visual representation of 18 years of research reaching the surface. The Melasyl molecule is not explained. It is felt.

Details

Prestige Aesthetics and Scientific Precision

Parisian architectural frame rendered with structural detail — the visual weight of L'Oréal's French heritage present in the geometry. Glow transitions calibrated as light interaction rather than added brightness. Product render built with material precision: the serum's specific finish, the weight of the packaging, the quality of the label. Clean, modern, and dermatologically credible at billboard scale.

Process

Design and Animation Process

We began with the dual brief: credibility and elegance. Both needed to be present in every frame, not alternating. The Parisian frame was established early as the structural answer — it carries the heritage without stating it. Glow transitions developed as light behaviour, not decoration. Product animation sequenced to move from science to result. Every pass tested for the balance between laboratory and luxury.
