About the project
We built a 3D anamorphic billboard for the launch of the HOKA Bondi 9 across two of Kuala Lumpur's highest-traffic screens — Pavilion KL and Fahrenheit88. The brief was simple: make the shoe feel present. Not displayed. Not showcased. There — as if it had pushed through the surface and landed on the street in front of you. Every environment transition, from waves to sand to abstract cubes, was built around that one idea.

Key Visual
High-Detail Texture and Product Breakdown
The hero sequence opens with the shoe breaking through a framed opening — depth pulling the viewer in before the environment shifts beneath it. Material realism carried the weight. Shoe texture, surface reflections, lighting consistency across every transition. The Bondi 9 is built for the long run. The visual had to feel the same way.

Anamorphic Depth and Material Precision
Perspective mapping calibrated for real-world viewing angles. Shoe texture rendered with surface precision — stitching, sole material, reflections. Lighting held consistent across every environment shift. Built to be recorded as much as watched.

Process
Design and Animation Process
We built around one constraint — how do people actually watch a billboard? Phone up, mid-step, recording before they think about it. Every frame was optimised for that moment. Street-proof realism. The kind that earns organic capture.
